14: 1-14
1. This
section have some of the most famous verses in the bible. The ones we have memorized since our
youth. As an adult now what do you hear
or read that you never noticed before?
2. Here
we see how incredibly clueless the disciples still are. What need or want are the expressing in their
questions?
3. What
promise in this first section means the most to you and why?
Chapter
14:15-24
1. What
comfort can you take from this passage?

challenges you?

“commandments” is he speaking of?
4. “In that day you will know that I am in my
Father, and you in me, and I in you”
Chapter
14:25-31
Here first Jesus is letting them know that he has a few more
things to tell them and then he starts back at the beginning and comforts them,
almost begging them to believe him. It
is as if he knows they didn’t really hear him.
He wants them to be happy for him, and to believe.

This week what is Jesus doing to comfort you? Or how has he comforted you in the past?

15: 1-17
1.
This conversation takes place as they are traveling to
the garden. Once again he uses what is
around to teach them another lesson. How
has Jesus used what was around you this week to teach you a lesson or to make
his love known to you?

In verse 12 he once again…. As if he knows they need to
hear it again Jesus gives them the new
command, to love one another. How
important is this commandment next to the 10?
